Children and teachers from Coolgreany National School have something special for the parents, families and the local community this Christmas. In the last few months they were working on their Christmas CD. Each class prepared a song that was later recorded in the school during their recording day. The students together with the graphic designer created a beautiful cover to accompany their album. The CD is now available to purchase in the school. You can also listen to one of the songs from the album on YouTube or by clicking the link below. Well done everyone! Congratulations to all the students and teachers from Gaelscoil Éadan Doire who celebrate the 10'th anniversary of their school. This coming Thursday is going to be a very special day for all the people involved in producing the Christmas music CD at St Joseph's National School in Kilcock. It'll be launched at a special event, and having just received the CDs from the manufacturer, they sound and look terrific. It's been such a pleasure working on the CD with the school, from initial meetings to plan what might go on the album, all the way through to recording and producing it. The team, lead by principal Ann Mcquillan and the music director Bernadette Shiel-Nolan, brought wonderful energy and confidence to the project, and even revealed some great talent in the team. And they helped to unlock the creativity and joy of the children themselves, all of whom sing on the CD. The launch takes place in St Coca's Church in Kilcock on the 8'th December at 7.30pm The CD, which will raise funds for the school, is on sale at the event and afterwards. It can also order it online at [email protected] Schools or choirs interested in making their own CD can get advice from me at 087 615 3175 or [email protected] We are excited to present you the cover of the St Joseph's National School Christmas CD.
