Hi everyone, have a look at the photos from the recording day with the Dominican College Sion Hill. At the moment we are mixing the audio and designing the CD cover and the CD should be ready within a couple of weeks.
We were delighted to work together with the parish choir from Piltown, county Kilkenny. The final effect of our work, CD "Whispering Hope" was so popular that we had to order additional copies. Below are a few photos from the project and the design of the CD cover.
We had an amazing evening with the Casual Choir that can be described with three words: fun, fun, fun! Casual Choir was born out of a demand for a more informal choir. One that doesn’t require any commitment whatsoever. No auditions, no sheet music, no concerts. Just a session twice a month with a few harmonies thrown in....it’s as casual as that!
The Choir meets fornightly and you are all invited. For more detail check the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/casualchoir/ In October we called to the Gaelscoil in Lucan to record songs prepared by the students to celebrate the 30'th anniversary of the school. Each class gave their best and recorded 12 songs that will feature on the CD. The school ran an artwork design competition and the winning picture will be on the front cover of the CD. The CD is now in the production to be ready for Christmas!
In October we started working together with the Millicent Singers as they are recording their first CD. The recording took place in the beautiful setting of the Clongowes Wood College. We have recorded instrumental parts, drums, bass, guitar, piano and string quartet. The choir laid the first layers of the choral part as well. Now the audio is being mixed and prepared for our second recording session in the new year.
We are delighted to produce an anniversary CD for the Gaelscoil na gCloch Liath in Greystones. Every child in the school, all 430 of them, can be heard singing there, with a variety of traditional and modern songs through Irish. Well done to all the teachers, parents and staff for their work in preparing the children for their recordings, and for creating a love of music and Irish among the children every day at school.
We are delighted to present the video supporting the Walk While You Can campaign. The members of the Mount Merrion Parish Children's Choir recorded a CD promoting the awareness and fundraising for the Motor Neurone Disease in Ireland. The CD features beautiful Christmas songs and can make a lovely Christmas present for your family and friends. You can support the project and get your own copy of the CD by emailing your order to: [email protected] Exciting times for Scoil Bhride in Kilcullen Co. Kildare as the pupils and the teachers recorded the songs for their Christmas CD. The recording is now completed and the tracks are being mixed and prepared for the production. The CD cover has been designed by the children and is now waiting to be printed. We can't wait to see and hear the final product!
The Mount Merrion Children's Choir records their CD in support of raising awareness of Motor Neurone Disease. The Choir has been in existence for over 20 years. They have over 100 members, between Junior (2nd class and below) and Senior choirs. The Senior section have taken part in several choral competitions, most recently coming 2nd in the Youth (under 25s) section at the Limerick Choral festival 2018. They have recorded a single for Children in Crossfire, sung carols for the Irish Guide Dogs and sang at the Papal Mass in the Phoenix Park this year.
This CD is being recorded to support the Walk While You Can campaign and to raise awareness about the Motor Neurone Disease in Ireland. We are excited to present "The Sound of Newtown" CD. The students from the Newtownmountkennedy Primary School together with the Music Generation Wicklow were working hard on rehearsing and producing their music CD that is now available for purchase in the school. Each class recorded a song and the whole school together recorded a music video promoting the school and the project.
